ATTENTION BEFORE READING THIS POST: This post is largely spoiler-free. However, reading it may give you CLUES as to what happens in the book, and therefore those who have not read the book yet may wish to avoid it. I will give VAGUE HINTS (no spoilers) about book three as well. I am putting in a read-more break so you won’t get spoiled in any way by accident. CLICK IF YOU WISH TO READ MORE.
Okay, so you clicked.
I’m guessing you read the book. I’m guessing you read the thing. Maybe you are asking yourself, “WHY?” Or “WHAT JUST HAPPENED?” Or “HOW COULD YOU, MAUREEN?”
Or maybe you just like reading posts.
Whatever the case, I am here to help you with YOUR FEELS.
To those of you who found the ending to be a bit rough, does it make you feel better to know that there are TWO MORE BOOKS? Do you think I would just leave it there? Do you think that’s really an END?
My friends, no. It is a beginning, not an end. In many ways, books one and two are the PREQUEL books to three and four.
What am I saying? I can’t come out and SAY anything. Book three, The Shadow Cabinet, certainly will address the events of book two and it is my belief that YOU WILL APPROVE. I did what I had to do. And now I will do more things. The story is just halfway through, after all.
